Ellie Abigail,
Oh sweet girl. What a treat you have been. Today you are 1 month old and we can't believe how quickly it has gone by. I don't want to compare you to your sister too much but you have been night and day compared to her. We still love you and wouldn't trade you for the world.
- you are eating 3-4 oz of breastmilk and/or formula usually every 3-4 hours, at night you've started having a stretch of about 4-5 hours
- hate tummy time
- enjoy taking a bath
- could take or leave your pacifier. You are constantly spitting it out. Mommy and daddy wish you would decide if you want it or not. We are tired of picking it up off the ground.
- want to be held a lot. You are getting better about playing in your bouncer and play mat and that makes it much easier for us to get stuff done
- like to fall asleep in the sling if mommy wears it
- still wear newborn diapers
- weigh 8 lbs 1 oz.
- sometimes like to spit up your entire bottle. It worried mommy and daddy for a while but the nurse said it was pretty normal.
- are starting to nap in your crib.
- still sleep in a bassinet in mommy and daddy's room at night. Mostly because you would sometimes throw up while you were sleeping.
- have started a bed time routine of bath, book and bottle. Then you get laid in your crib.
- get your crib and/or bassinet warmed up for you with a heating pad. Spoiled girl.
- get swaddled when you sleep
- sleep on your back (sometimes mommy lays you on your side, you like that)
- sleep with your lamb that makes sounds like the ocean
- still wear newborn clothes and have no shoes that fit
- look just like your big sister
- are loved deeply by your big sister Avery (and mommy and daddy)
Precious girl, we love you more than you can know. Mommy and daddy can't believe how much our heart has expanded to love you! We are thankful that God gave you to us. We can't imagine our lives without you. We can't wait to see what more you can do!
