Easter Egg Hunt

Man, oh man, it's been a LOOOOOOOONG time since I've written in this little space. In fact my last blog post was Sept 2013 and was titled Life is Hard. Whew! Here's a little bit of truth and #keepingitreal for you...Life is still hard. For all of us. Lord willing, we just figure it out.

Anyway, that's not why I'm back. I miss this space. I miss documenting and so I hope to be more regular about the goings on of our family.

And yesterday there was this. EASTER EGG HUNT!!  We love the community we live. They have an event for all the major holidays...Halloween, Dr. Seuss's birthday, Easter...you know the important ones. (insert winky emoji here)

So we got our spring dress on and headed out the door.

Ellie is the weird kid that actually loves characters. Can't get enough. Will follow them around and give them lots of hugs. So when she got to see the Easter bunny and Easter chicks, she was in heaven!

The community center has the Easter Egg hunt down to a science. They have lots of activities like face painting, Mr. Science guy, and a pancake breakfast while you wait for your age group hunt.  But the mother load is all the inflatables they have. I've yet to meet a kid that didn't love an inflatable. My girls are no different.

The girls had back to back hunts which was actually nice. We didn't have to wait around a long time  for their age group. We even met up with some of our favorite friends!!

These girls are have literally known each other since birth. I just can't believe they are all almost 7!! Say what?!?!?!

And finally, the most important part of the morning. HUNTING!! Go Ellie go! Go Ellie go!!

Go Avery go! Go Avery go!

The Easter Egg Hunt is one of our favorite events to go to. It's not too crowded, the girls always have a good time, and it's a great family friendly event. They girls didn't fill their bags but no one was disappointed. In their minds they won the Easter Egg lotto. And I love that about them!!

And see that kid? The one in the above pictures? The one that is full of spunk and spirit and dimples that go on for days? She makes my heart full

.

And see that one? The one that is getting way too big...the one that has the biggest heart, says the sweetest things, and will talk your ear off if you let her? She makes my heart full.

And now we wait for the Easter Bunny to come to our house...stay tuned.
